Context Editor

Aids the design production process, allowing for direct input to the 3D view when a task is performed.

Commands

Inputting a command directly on the 3D view displays the Content Editor.

Press Enter to execute the command.

Alternatively, press the left or right arrow keys to display an empty command box at the bottom right of the cursor.

Press the up arrow key to scroll backwards through previous commands; the down arrow key scrolls forward.

Press ESC to cancel a command. If multiple commands have been entered simultaneously, press ESC repeatedly to exit the commands one by one in the order in which they were entered.

Prompts

On selection of a function or task, the context editor prompts you to complete an action.

Press the down arrow key to select available variations in method.

The available options are labelled with key letters, you can press the required key and press Enter or click the required tile to execute the command.

Position Fields

In addition to graphical selection in the 3D view, you can explicitly define a position using the context editor position fields.

You can input values in the fields and press Enter or click to identify a position on the 3D view.

Press the tab key to navigate between the text fields.

Press the space bar to lock a text field. The lock symbol displays in the field.

Press the @ key to define a position using an associated polar direction. The context editor displays the polar angle and dimension fields.

Pressing SHIFT and @ together toggles between relative positioning and absolute positioning.

Pressing the # key toggles between the Local Coordinates System ###and the World Coordinates System.
