A CATALOGUE database may contain a single ‘universal’ catalogue, but it will more commonly contain a general catalogue plus one or more specialised catalogues specific to particular design functions.
Sections and Categories are administrative elements which separates particular types of catalogue data into logical parts of the database hierarchy. Sections, which subdivide an overall CATA, are obligatory; Categories, which subdivide Sections, are optional (although their use is recommended).
In the case of using the Equipment discipline, elements are stored in the hierarchy as templates or components under template or component categories. The functionality available to create template or component categories are identical to that described in Multi -Purpose windows, refer to
