Piping Tools : Keys
Click CE to populate the Edit Ckeys window with the CCTA elements Ckeys (connection type).
Use the part of the Set CKeys part of the Edit CKeys window to filter the CTYPE and CKey attributes displayed, refer to Filter CKey for more information. Modify the CKey attribute used, refer to Filter CKey for further information or delete selected entries in the CKeys list.
To filter the attributes displayed in the part of the Set CKeys part of the Edit CKeys window.
The CType Filters part of the Edit Filters window acts as a selection expression. Use wildcards or specify filter rules in the CTYPE fields and select the And OR expression from the drop-down list.
The CKey Filter part of the Edit Filters window, can be used to determine which CKeys are displayed in the Set CKeys part of the Edit CKeys window. Select the required CKey Filter check boxes to display the CKeys in the Set CKeys part of the Edit CKeys window.
Click OK to apply the filter to the Edit CKeys window.
Click Cancel to discard any changes and close the Edit Filter window.
To modify a CKey, select the connection types from the CKey list and click Modify Ckeys, the Modify window is displayed, by default the CKey is Unset (if the default is used, the connection will be a plain one).
Select the required CKey from the drop-down list and click OK, the amended CKey is displayed in the window.
Click Cancel to discard changes and close the window.
COCO elements can be deleted, select individual entries or all entries (use Select All), once the selection has been made, click Delete to remove selected COCO elements from the table, a Confirm window is displayed.
Click Yes to delete the selected CKeys.
Click Cancel to discard any changes and close the window.
The PCON/SKEY Compatibility Report window functionality generates a report (in .csv format) detailing the SKEYs and Pconns for all the elements in the selected specifications. The reports are saved into the selected directory,  default %AVEVA_DESIGN_USER%.
Note:
If the CE is not an SPEC element, the PCONN/SKEY Compatibility Report window is by default populated with all the SPEC elements in the WORLD: /* element.
To run a PCONN/SKEY Compatibility Report, on an individual SPECWL element, select the SPECWL element in the database hierarchy displayed in the Catalogue Explorer, click CE. The SPEC Elements part of the PCONN/SKEY Compatibility Report window is populated with the SPEC elements of the CE.
Click Select All to highlight all entries in the SPEC Elements list.
Click Unselect All to deselect all SPEC Elements entries in the list.
Click Apply to output the report to the path specified in the Directory field of the window. The filename(s) will be the name of the Spec Element(s) selected.
To change the path where the report is generated; enter a new path into the Directory field. The reports can then be viewed in a spreadsheet or text processor.
Click Cancel to discard any inputs and close the PCONN/SKEY Compatibility Report window.
The Modify PConns window functionality modifies the connection types on Ppoints of elements with a given SKEY for one or more specifications.
Note:
If the CE is not an SPEC element, the Modify PConns window is by default populated with all the SPEC elements in the WORLD: /* element.
To modify PConns on an individual SPWL element, from the Modify PConns window, select the SPWL element in the database hierarchy displayed in the Catalogue Explorer, click CE. The SPEC Elements part of the Modify PConns window is populated with the SPEC elements of the CE.
Click Select All to highlight all entries in the SPEC Elements list.
Click Unselect All to deselect all SPEC Elements entries in the list.
Enter the SKEY to modify in the SKEY field and in the ModifyPConns part of the Modify PConns window, define the changes in the Modify Pconns From - To fields:
Click Apply. The changes are made and the details are displayed in the Output part of the Modify PConns window.
If the Report changes to file box is selected, a report of the changes is saved to the file path defined in the File field. (If required, the file acts as a macro to reverse the changes. It can be run by typing ‘$M <Path & Filename>’)
Click Cancel to discard any inputs and close the Modify PConns window.
