Create Route Elements
: Multiple Route Nodes
Multiple Route Nodes
Use to aid manual cable routing along the cableway branches.
Add Cableway Branches
Cables are routed along cableway branches, first select the cableway branches to route the cables. The Multiple Route Nodes window provides two methods to add cableway branches:

Adds cableway branches using selections from the Design Explorer
•
Adds cableway branches for an named element.
Select one of the following:
Current Hierarchy
Adds the owning elements and their related elements associated with currently selected element.
Current Cableway Branch
All elements related to the currently selected element within the owning cableway branch are added.
Current Database
Adds all the elements contained within the current database. A prompt is displayed ‘
Are you sure you want to add Cableway Branches in this Database
’.
All
Adds all cableway branches, a prompt is displayed ‘
Are you sure you want to add All Cableway Branches in this MDB
’.
Drawlist
All the cableway branches contained within the current drawlist are added.
Current Collection
All the cableway branches contained within the current collections are added.
Graphical Pick
Adds the selected elements picked from the 3D view, a prompt is displayed ‘
Pick Elements
’.
Graphical Selection
All the currently selected elements are added.
Within Area
All the elements contained within a selected area in the 3D view are added.
Within Volume of CE
Adds everything enclosed within the specified/selected area/zone.
Named Element
Adds the cableway branches for a named element, default is unset.
Right click menu
Use the right click menu available from the Cableway Branches grid to:
Remove Selected Elements
Removes the selected cableway branch from the 3D view.
Remove All Elements
Removes all the cableway branches from the 3D view,
Highlight All in 3D View
Highlights all the cableway branches in the 3D view.
Unhighlight All in 3D View
Remove all the highlight functionality in the 3D view.
Select CE Row
Highlights the currently selected element in the 3D view.
Navigate
A toggle, which when ON, navigates to the selected element in the model explore, thus making it the new current element.
Export to Excel
Exports cableway branch details to an Excel spreadsheet.
Print Preview
Allows the cableway branch details to be previewed and printed.
Route Nodes
If the currently selected cableway branch contains route nodes, these are displayed in the
Route Nodes
grid. image required here
Use the right click menu to modify, delete, highlight, navigate to, export or preview print the currently selected route node.
Modify Route Nodes
Displays the
Route Nodes Modify Tasks
window.
Delete Route Nodes
Deletes the currently selected route node.
Mark in 3D View
Labels the currently selected route node in the 3D view.
Mark All
Labels all the route nodes in the 3D view.
Unmark
Removes the label from the currently selected route node in the 3D view.
Unmark All
Removes all the labels from the route nodes in the 3D view.
Navigate
A toggle, which when ON navigates to the currently selected element in the model explorer, thus making it the new currently selected element.
Export to Excel
Exports route nodes details to an excel spreadsheet.
Print to Preview
The cableway branch details are displayed as a print preview.
Options
Use to determine how multiple route nodes are represented in the 3D view and set the spacing distance between the route nodes.
Representation
The representation field set the SPREF of the route node, use the Choose functionality to select how the route node is represented.
Use to choose a route node representations and view basic properties from the selection available.
Set Distance
Sets the distance the route nodes are to be placed on the cableway branch, the default is 300mm. Minimum distanced is 1m maximum is 10m. A progress bar is displayed as multiple route nodes are created.
Total Created
Once all the route nodes are created, the field is populated with the number of route nodes created. These route nodes are described as AUTO-CREATED in the
Route Nodes
grid.
Note:
Cableway branches that already have route nodes and are part of an APPLDW element are ignored.
Zero Count and Refresh
Returns the total created counter to zero and refresh the window to display the current database values.
