Working with Diagrams
: Highlight Changes in Schematic Diagrams
Highlight Changes in Schematic Diagrams
Changes made to schematic diagrams between selected sessions can be highlighted and listed.
To highlight changes made to the diagram on which an element is located, select the element in the list, click on the arrow under the
Diagram
option in the
View
group of the
View
tab, and select
Diagram
Change Highlighting
from the menu that is then displayed.
The
Select Diagram to Compare
window is then displayed. This window is used to select the Diagram and to pick which Revisions, Stamps or Sessions are to be compared.
Select a diagram and the available versions will be shown. Pick a Revision, Stamp or Session and either right click to set as base or target version, or press one of the
Set
buttons. Repeat for the other version then click
OK
.
Once the sessions/stamps have been selected, the changes to diagrams between sessions are displayed in the
Diagram Change Highlighting
window.
Diagram Change Highlighting - Actions Tab
When the
Diagram Change Highlighting
is open, an extra tab,
Diagram Change Highlighting - Actions,
is displayed.
The tab has the following options:
Diagram Group
Open
Opens the
Select Diagram to Compare
window so that a new version comparison can be made.
Refresh
Performs a re-comparison of the current diagram and sessions so that changes made since the comparison was made will be highlighted and changes made to attribute and colour settings (see below) are implemented.
Highlighting Group
New Elements
Used to highlight new elements on the diagram in the selected highlight colour for new elements.
Deleted Elements
Used to highlight deleted elements on the diagram in the selected highlight colour for deleted elements.
Modified Elements
Used to highlight modified elements on the diagram in the selected highlight colour for modified elements.
View Group
Zoom In
Used to zoom into a diagram to the next standard zoom level.
Zoom Out
Used to zoom out from a diagram to the next standard zoom level.
Zoom to Fit
Used to zoom a diagram out so that the entire diagram is visible
Auto Zoom
Used to toggle the mode for auto-zoom. When this option is toggled on, selecting an element will zoom the diagram to display that element and highlight it.
Print Diagram
Prints the diagram.
Configuration Group
Attribute
Used to specify which attributes are to be considered when comparing changes to diagrams, i.e. changes to specific attributes may be ignored if required.
Highlight Colour
Used to set the colour used to highlight new, deleted and modified elements.
Highlight Tubing
Used to set the colour used to highlight new, deleted and modified tubing.
